Anyone else hear the news story earlier this week about what the media described as a "hair fetishist" apprehended by police, who had been snipping women's hair in public and even did something involving glue (I didn't get all the details)? Too bad we hair afficionados here can't issue some sort of press release of our own, disavowing such obviously dysfunctional behavior and distinguishing it from our own harmless enthusiasm. News stories like that, whenever they inevitably arise, just give us a bad name , perhaps, push us further into the closet....
