In the 1970's and 80's I saw many many women with past waistlength hair in the SF Bay area where I live. Many of these were caucasion women so I don't think it's so much genetic as much as cultural. Today when many women work in the corporate world, long hair is rare because it doesn't conform to standards. However in the Pentecostal community caucasian women with very long hair are quite normal. Too bad I'm not Pentecostal. Cary
