We blame the scandinavian hair quality in my country. I saw several aisan ladies with knee length hair in Sweden in the end of 90th, but no viking ladies.

On the other hand, our genes are quite close to the Polish and Russian genes, and there are many ladies with really long and sexy hair in those countries.

The short hair catastrophy started in the 1920:th fasion.

Perhaps its all about the money. In countries where/times when all women can afford to visit hair stylists, they give the hair stylists too much power.

However. Waist length hair was fashion in the western wold in the end of 80:th, when the economy was overheated. I beleive it was also fashion in the early 70:th before the oil crisis, and perhaps also in end of the 70:th. THe skrit length becomes shorter in good economical times. Perhaps very long hair is a sign that a economical recession is near. Meaning that right now, a stock market crash is very far away...
