I have a WinTV PVR ( personal video recorder ) card in my PC. Then I set the recorder functions to record all 3 hours(!) of the Today show as mpeg-2 files in DVD quality (1.6Gig per hour ). I record each hour separately to make them easier to deal with.
I then edit the files in one of the buggiest video editing programs I've ever used... Pinnacle Studio 10. ( Although to be fair, with the latest revision, 10.5, it's getting better! )
I edit the 4.8G of video down to just the AC parts and end up with a file of 40MB to 200MB in size. This file is also Mpeg-2 DVD quality.
The problem is, despite all the footage I've collected since the LOL announcement last Oct., there is very little interesting footage. This hair slap was the most interesting, by far. Unfortunately, the next highest of interest would be an ear tuck, or a smooth.
