A blonde I knew in school who once had the prettiest waist length hair I've ever seen would frequently during the day twist it up into a bun and secure her hair with a pencil.

Inevitably it would come loose and tumble into thick waves of blonde silk. A decade later with shoulder length hair she still had the same habit. If you spent more than a few hours with her, and her hair wasn't otherwise secured in a braid or more substantial bun, you got to watch this process.

She had to have some sense of the effect this had on guys around her.
