I'm one of your members and was really perplexed as I saw the error message day after day. Since I did not know where to find some information I already feared the worst. Glad to hear that you are alive and hopefully relatively well! A divorce can be a painful experience.

Regarding your site: I don't know how your relation to Anya is, but she has a working site and the same business model (long hair). I really don't know if that's possible (no experience with companies like ccbill), but why not dump your new output at Anyas site and charge a bit more until your own site is up and running again? It would minimize the loss of earnings. Or simply merge your and Anyas site and double the fee? It would lower the costs for both of you. I'm sure most of your members subscribed to Anyas site anyway.

IMHO the worst thing is the missed backup. If I remember it correctly your site had more than 80GB, which is almost obscene for a private site. Uploading this is a nightmare! I always wondered how much your provider charged for disk space and traffic. I had my own site already back in '96, and they offered something like 50MB and 1GB of traffic for 40$ at that time. LOL.

And another thought: create a site like Leonasarchive.com, move 60GB to this site and offer packs for download, like the entire year 2003 for 20$ or so. I would reduce traffic, boost you earnings, and your customers will accept it.

To your personal situation: I'm shocked that Mr. L didn't like your hair. I always thought that your husband was, for a large part, one of the reasons you grew your hair that long?! Strange. But I'm more than happy that your new man loves it. You deserve it and I wish you all the best. I just hope he can also cope with your little business.

Regarding a refund: that's just bollocks! It's a terrible situation for you and I hope (and know) most of your members understand this. I will not go bankrupt if you can't immediately cancel my account.
