SLOW response times?? NPR reports that undersea international cables are being repaired (2) out of 4 that carry internet transmissions. Offshore ship anchors pulling and breaking them are the cause, one off Panama and the other Newfoundland. With only 2 left for overseas transmission the backlog is tremendous. Satellites do not carry but 25% of internet transmissions, so do not help the matter significantly. Chinese and Russian web sources have become so slow that it is a waste of time right now.
