i've got two tips for you:

1 - get a broadband connection [dsl or cable or so....]

2 - ask Leona to save Her pix in jpg format, not bitmaps (bmp), and ask her to make them 72 dpi and about 1024 pixels width and 768 pixels high (most screen resolutions..) this will make the pix alot faster to download....
