People often consider hair to be a part of fashion, like clothes.

It is not. It is a part of the human body. Ofcourse, everything you observe during your younger years has great influence, but being attracted to boobs and hair is a result of thousands of years of evolution.

And evolution never cared for any shorttime change in fashion.

Men are attracted to women with a nice ass (foodreserve for the unborn child), big boobs (foodsuply after birth), and long hair (indicating a long period of good health). It is not even a matter of free choice. Men who werent attracted to those features, simply didn't produce much offspring.

For what it's worth, thats my theory.

Nowadays, a shorthaired girl can just be as healthy as a longhaired girl;

the BIG head knows, but try to explain it to the little one....
