When I took my driver´s license, I had to start wearing glasses.

The young woman who served me at the local optician´s store had a very thick, slightly wavy, dark brunette ponytail to her tailbone, really resembling that of a beautiful horse. As it could have been a higher ponytail (that I don´t remember that accurately anymore) her actual hair length might have been even longer.

I think I must have stood there completely at a loss, making quite a fool of myself altogether. Needless to say, I was way too shy to even think of flirting or complimenting her.

I have never seen her again. But the picture or her moving around in that old-fashioned store with her ponytail swinging behind her slightly (it was just too heavy to really bounce) is etched in my memory forever.
