When I was a boy, my mother always used to advocate short hair on women as a sign of being sportive and athletic, especially since a lot of female athletes did wear short hair back then.

Needless to say, me and my developing long-hair fetisch never bought that crap of an argument; even if you wanted to, you simply can´t reason against biology and instincts.

Today, watching the female runners at the Tokyo Olympic Games, I´m absolutely thrilled at the sight of what seems to be a festival of ponytails, many of them waist length or even a little longer.

Now, Mom, aren´t theses girls extremely sportive and extremely beautiful at the same time, with their long hair dancing behind as they run!

I´m so happy to see so much long hair at the Games and to see my late mom - who was absolutely gorgeous otherwise - disproved on that one point.
