Why does it seem like girls with extremely long hair like knee to floor length hair who get their hair cut always seem to get it cut so short and the most hideous hairstyle possible?

Why does it seem like they never try just a bit shorter such as floor length cutting to knee length, knee length cutting to waste length or something like that?

Always seems like they cut it super short and as ugly as possible.

Did they decide they totally hate being beautiful at all and want to actually want to look totally repulsive?
