On VLC (or MediaPlayer), how can I create a series of vidcaps of a video file across the whole duration of the video at regular intervals? This is what I mean:

How is above done?

I've tried to Google to find out, but have not been successful so far. Google thought me how to do a screen capture of a particular moment with VLC, but not a series of scenes all in one file/pic, in one go, if you see what I mean.
