I also had a friend that let me play with her hair but then got sick so I couldn't anymore because I never saw her. However, I met the current friend that I have through work. We hung out and got close, and eventually I got to the point where I could ask her.

So my advice would be to be social. Be part of some group or go somewhere where you can meet new people. I myself have never tried using a dating app or tinder and whatnot. Most of my experiences come from the few groups I've been part of, and I am an introverted guy, so it's hard for me and if you're introverted too I definitely understand. However, if you're an extrovert, definitely take advantage of it and go out there and join something.

Meet someone, hang out, take things slow, get to know them, build the trust, and then when you feel comfortable, just ask and play.
