My girlfriend has a very pecular hairstyle: her naturally black hair is reaching well below her buttocks (uncut and curled up at the bottom in the back), with bangs cut very short upfront. Just recently - probably inspired by European painters' masterpieces - she decided to shave her bangs fairly high so her whole forehead is now exposed, creating a tremendous contrast with her ultralong hair in the back (what she intends to keep growing without even trimming). Well, she after all looks really great and impressive, but I wonder if such hairstyle can be classified as "gothic" or "medieval" and what in what circles of women is it popular? Eve
