Scientific results indicating decrease of the maximum possible hair length with age cannot be found in the literature. However, hair becomes thinner and less appealing with age. My beloved wife had wonderful hip length brown hair ones upon a time, in her 20s and early 30s. It was rather short when we met but she grew it out in only 3 years. Being in the age of 40+ she has now cut it to mid-back/bra-strip length, and she is considering cutting in even shorter. I think she is pretty and looks quite young due to her brown hair and personality, maybe I should tell her, but I don't want to force her having longer hair than she feels comfortable with.
