Here the problem is not his lady's motivation to help children with cancer - this plays on everyone's emotional heartstring - and it's applauded.

It's that the hair cut DOES NOT go directly to help children - in fact its got much better chance to be sold to adorn some other woman, than a child in need.

Someone who wants to help cancer patients is much better off to volunteer to help at their local cancer patients hospice, every neighbourhood and country has them - THAT is charity, giving time and emotion, NOT some de-feminisation exercise for hair-cut fetishists.
